Continue to think and pray for Tyler, you and your entire family. "Ours is not to question"...but it sure is hard to understand...believe me, I know...

Mary, thank you for all that you have done and thank's to you and Rusty both for keeping this site alive. It's great to have a place to chat with fellow nuts. Especially when you're not a facebooker. I do miss a lot of folks who have gone over to the FB side.
Your prayers and thoughts are appreciated so much.

Annie, you are right. When Ty was first diagnosed I thought why him? Why us? But I quickly came to understand, why not him? Why not us? So many of us have "Stuff" to deal with. I intend to take this journey and not look back at what might have been but what will be. We are a close family (some might say to close) I can imagine this will only make us closer.
Thank you for your prayers. It is AGFTK.
With courage, strength, faith and hope we will face one day at a time.

Rog, Dar, and Quinn.....

Thanks so much....Just finished up from a visit from all the grandkids for mothers day. What a hoot!
Ty was having a good day with plenty of energy. He was in the hospital all of last week for his chemo and returns tomorrow for one shot then back on Wed. for blood work. Hopefully his counts will be good. The fight continues so we really appreciate all of the great karma that is coming our way.
My poconut friends are just the best. I love you all.

I'm so glad you all had a nice day. I pray that you stay strong Kev, and that years from now, Ty will read these posts.

Quinn, that is my wish too. I'm saving them up and when he is old enough to understand exactly what he has BEAT, I will give them to him to read so he can see first hand how a group of strangers who have but one common interest (poco) banded together to provide some additional support for his papa Kev.

Poco1954, thank you for your prayers. Ty and family are doing fine. We take one day at a time and my wife and I relish anytime we get to spend with Tyler. Most of the time he is feeling well enough to be the sweet boy we know he is but at times things can be unnerving even to a 7 year old and he prefers to sit quietly by himself. We are all adjusting and learning to understand.
His latest blood work produced excellent levels and he is handling the chemo side effects well. He's a tough 49lb. 7 year-old! We're so proud of his strength and courage.
Keep up the prayers and good thoughts for us, it is truly appreciated.
