About forum system, there're many forum systems, vBulletin, phpBB, Simple Machines Forum, PunBB... Current Poco forum was switched to phpBB3, it's good idea phpBB3 is most popular, having many powerful features, it's free and still developing. But I wonder why old forum (I forgot the name of forum system) was closed without converting to new forum phpBB3. Many famous forum systems can be converted to phpBB3. I loved old forum too, it's also a history of Poco and Poconuts. I learned many things about Poco and many country rock from old and new forums.
There was The Outlaws forum, it had been very active forum. But they closed after Hughie Thomasson had passed away, I don't think it's good idea. They re-opened new forum but is limited only for paid fans so I don't know about it now. There is a last recording with Hughie and they announced couple of years ago that it would be released very soon but never released.
About political threads, it's good to be closed. I don't care some people disappeared. It's nothing related with Poco and music.

Thank, Rusty, for your input. I really am waiting for the new cd. I am sure it will be a good one. Poco has never dissapointed me whatever lineup it had in the past. To me every era has it's very good albums, like FTI, Cantamos, Legend, Blue&Gray et.. Of course, we European Poconuts would love if the new lineup would visit Europe for some gigs . Good luck with finishing the new cd and the book. Diederik

Actually the Outlaws just released a new CD called "It's About Pride". There is no Hughie on it though. That group of songs was shelved after his death. Doubt we will ever here any of that again. But this CD really rocks. My favorite CD of the year so far.

I don't come on here nearly as much as I used to. There are more forums than a decade ago when Poconut was new. And, they're more generalized, allowing for way more topics of discussion (and argument). In fact, I only found about about Rusty's comment here because he posted it on Facebook, with a link. I agree with a lot of what Tony said, as far as not checking the site out as much. It seemed like ten years ago, there was a bit of a Poco 'rebirth', with the new Poconut site, the then-new studio album (and touring to back it), and George Grantham being back in the band. Maybe 'All Fired Up' will bring folks back here to talk about the latest 'rebirth'.
Thanks Jim O for the heads up on the Outlaws new one. Can't wait to see them in Cape May later this summer and the new album is great news.

Been awhile since i last posted, been busy with nursery work, as much of a struggle as it's been, with all i've been through this year. Still trying to get my life back to normality since my operation, but i'm afraid with all the bad things that have been happening i've been finding much difficulty with this. Lost a much loved Uncle a couple of months back, and now my younger brother Len who had stomach cancer and most of his stomach removed a couple of years back is now dying from the disease which has spread to other parts of his body and is now uncureable, doctors say his organs could give out any time. As you can imagine i'm having great difficulty coming to terms with this.
