Springsteen's European Tour

We've gone too long without any Boss sightings on the site and I just checked into the Backstreets web site and the set lists have just been incredible and ever changing which is why I hate to miss any of his area shows. Those set lists are extraordinary. He's got some truly obscure gems tossed in. ("Be True", "Frankie", "Light Of Day".) How does the band remember all these?
Unfortunately, no shows even close to me so far.

Strange timing for your post. Have not been listening to any Springsteen for several months (still don't like "Wrecking Ball"). I was at the gym yesterday watching the conclusion of the USA-Spain final and when the game was over, "Born In The USA" suddenly started playing at the Olympics venue. Sounded so good I dug up "The Promise" boxset from my Ipad. Amazing period from his career.

In the process of trying to find info on an obscure Doug Sahm album, I came across this article about Springsteens 1974 appearance in Austin, TX. Very different than the usual articles about him. Describes how he came to be there and local reaction to seeing him for the first time. Another legendary show I would have loved to attend.
