Adios

When Lili Von Shtupp sings, ‘I’m Tired’ in Blazing Saddles, I know exactly how she feels… ‘…always coming and going and going and coming’.
I’m tired too!
So I’m going to take some time to enjoy the cabin, go fishing, chase Mary and Zog around the woods, try growing old gracefully, and finish the book I’ve been working on for the past ten years. Don’t worry, we’ll still be at Wildwood this October and the last shows won’t be until February of 2014.
Mary and I will miss all the friends we’ve made along the way. Who knows, this may be just a break in the action and in the meantime we have six decades of Poco music to remind us of the good old days.
Thanks to Rick Alter and Tom Rashford for all their hard work and for always looking out for us.
Many thanks to George Lawrence and we never would have recorded the ‘All Fired Up’ album if it wasn’t for Michael Webb. Michael’s amazing! You guys rock!
And then there’s Jack…my BFF, musical partner, and reminder of what sanity looks like. If I was stranded on a desert island and could choose either Jack Sundrud or Maggie Gylenhal to be stranded with…I’d probably pick Maggie Gylenhal. Sorry Jack!

And how do you say thanks to Richie, Jimmy, Randy, Timothy, George and Paul? I don’t know, but I do know we sure had some good times. We went to a Hoedown, sang in the Heart of the Night, did the Pucky Huddle Stomp and made it A Good Feelin’ To Know.
And last, but not least, thanks to all the Poconuts for forty-six years of love and support.
We love you back.
Rusty
